John Fort founded First Commercial Realty, LLC in August 2003. Prior to that, Fort was a vice president with a regional brokerage firm in Greenville where, during his 18 years, he received local, regional and national sales awards.

Mr. Fort has a wide variety of experience in commercial real estate, including leasing, sales, property management, investment sales and development. He has represented sellers and landlords as well as represented tenants and buyers on major acquisitions, leases and commercial developments.

Mr. Fort has represented or worked with Fortune 500 and other major international companies including Marsh USA, BellSouth, CRS Sirrine, Bowater Inc., Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Coats and Clark, Amoco Corporation, Michelin North America, Ernst and Young, RMT, Home Depot, and Walgreens.

He has also represented major local and regional developers including the Robert Pattillo Company, Boyette Capital Management and Verdae Properties, Inc.

Mr. Fort has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Economics from Wofford College and Clemson University respectively. He also has earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member, CCIM, designation which is recognition of Mr. Fort’s years of specialized education and proven market experience in the commercial real estate industry.

Sales Associate

Steve’s primary focus is on the sales and leasing of retail properties though he has also handled a variety of other type assignments in his career. He has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate with an extensive background in shopping center leasing and management.

Steve has represented local businesses and regional/national chains seeking retail space as well as represented institutional owners, developers and investors in pre-leasing and re-leasing anchored and un-anchored strip shopping centers throughout the southeast.

Steve is a graduate of Furman University and is a Certified Property Manager (CPM). He has been an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Office Manager/Sales Associate

Daniel H. Fort has been in the commercial real estate industry as a sales agent since August of 2004. Mr. Fort has represented local buyers, sellers, and regional developers in sales transactions as well as both landlords and tenants for lease transactions. In his experience, Daniel formerly co-managed the exclusive representation of Movie Gallery and Hollywood Video for site selection and new store development for the state of South Carolina. He has also done work to represent other national companies such as Walgreen’s, IBM, RBC Liberty, and Home Depot.

As Office Manager, Daniel handles all the internal financial and marketing operations for the company as well as day to day property management responsibilities.

Fort holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Clemson University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is currently in the process of earning his Certified Commercial Investment Member, CCIM, designation.
